What to Wear This Fall, Transitional Outfits

Fall is already here, but it’s literally 100 degrees here in Los Angeles almost everyday! Hopefully, the weather cools down soon and we can really start layering it up with some cozy sweaters and some thigh high boots. For this weird Summer and Fall weather we’re getting here in California we mixed it up a bit with some transitional looks (Because we’d probably be a puddle by now if we tried adding some layers).

The Suede Fringe Jacket is definitely one of my favorite Fall staples this year because it makes any outfit look retro and sophisticated. Play around with suede pieces whether it be hats or booties and you can change your look to any way you choose. I opted for a more seventies look with my pink A-line corduroy skirt from Forever 21 and nude turtleneck. Another way to spin-off this look is to go for a more Western style by going for blue jeans and a peasant top. The fringe details really make this a statement piece, it definitely stands out in a crowd. Real suede is thick and sturdy, so it’ll definitely keep me warm when the temperatures start getting cooler. So don’t be afraid to test out this trend, have fun and try to incorporate suede into what suits your style best!

Damn, I look like I could be some expert in martial arts bodyguard, haha. But on a serious note, I’ve been obsessed with showing peeks of skin lately especially when I have to cover up more because of cooler temperatures. I tend to go for darker colors when it gets cooler. But dressing in all black could make your outfit very plain, so I made sure to have hints of skin showing with this cutout top and add accessories. Accessories are very important when you have an dark outfit. I think it is important because I like to have my outfits stand out. If your outfit can’t stand out with the clothing pieces, then it must be the accessory’s job. To accessorize, I wore a leather cuff, aviators, and a gold waist leaf belt to pull my outfit together.

You have probably been seeing a lot of high slit maxi skirts and I am very in love with that trend. Maxi skirts are much more comfortable than pants and the high slit gives you an instant sexy boost. Chloe and I also fell in love with the perspex heel trend and had to get these boots from lolashoetique. The shiny and sleek material gives these boosts a very chic and sophisticated look. And from both of our experiences, these boots are very, very, very, very comfortable! 🙂

It may be Fall, but giving the cold shoulder in your off-the-shoulder blouses aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. This flouncy nude bodysuit from Forever 21 is perfect for the fall with its neutral tones. Since I’m going for more of a fall look, I went with these faux leather shorts I got from Forever 21 to go with a more sophisticated and darker look. Remember that different textures could really change the look of your outfit. I kept my accessories at a minimum because the choker was definitely a statement with its silver glimmer. I’ve been waiting FOREVER to wear these patent perspex heeled booties from Lolashoetique, now is finally the time. Keep in mind that patent leather or vinyl is a huge trend this fall, this texture will definitely give your outfit that polished and edgy look.

Here is the high slit again! I can never get enough of these slits. I usually opt for skirts over pants whenever I can because they are so comfy. This skirt from Forever 21 was perfect, especially with its cute, intricate print. And just as Chloe just talked about, I also wore a top that is a bit off the shoulder. Off the shoulder tops will leave your neck/chest area very bare, so I wore this choker with a centered gemstone. If you are not a big  fan of chokers, you can also wear a regular necklace. If I were to do that, I would choose a layered gold necklace. So who’s excited for boots season?! I finished off my outfit with these chunky heeled, ankle boots.

Wrap dresses have always been a classic and timeless piece! So I decided on this maroon wrap dress because this rich color is perfect for the Fall. What’s unique about this dress is that it has a fishtail hem that will give you a sexier feel by showing off your legs  any shoes you decide to wear. Neck scarves, silk kerchiefs have been the break out accessory of the Summer and is now trickling into the Fall. This chic trend is taking over any statement necklaces. So add any neck scarves to your outfit for a more feminine touch.

If you couldn’t tell, this outfit without the jacket and boots seems like something you wear in spring or summer. That is exactly right. You can bring outfits from other seasons by just changing up some of the accessories. Sometimes I do this because I miss the warmer seasons. Since Chloe and I live in SoCal, sometimes temperatures fluctuate a lot but tend to stay on the warmer side. So to make this outfit more a fall outfit, I wore these boots from H&M instead of sandals/flats. I also went for this green, utility jacket from Forever 21 because it is very warm and complements the brown tones of my outfit. I love jackets that are long and go down below your waist. It keeps my whole body warm and cozy.

Hope you loved our Fall looks! xoxo
