This week we are TWINNING by styling this gorgeous, blue brocade skirt. We were so surprised to see a lot of different Asian brocade prints in stores. It reminds me so much of the 90s and our childhood. It’s always around Chinese New Year that everyone will start bringing out their traditional Chinese clothing in all different patterns of vibrant brocade. Now, it’s fun and refreshing to see this Asian print being worn by different people. So today, we are showing you fun ways to incorporate brocade into your wardrobe!
Blue Brocade Skirt (Similar)
I chose silver toned accessories to match with my skirt. Here, I am wearing extra large hoop earrings with an ear cuff. Why didn’t I wear regular sized hoops? Cus everythings better bigger right? 😛
I had my top tucked into my skirt to bring this whole outfit together. I thought this outfit totally needed a bag to complete my look, and I was right. The o-ring handles of my bag matched perfectly with my hoop earrings just as I match Chloe! And the fuzzy fur texture of the bag really makes my outfit a whole lot girly.
This top is one of my favorite of the season. It’s been pretty chilly lately, but turtlenecks or plain sweaters are so boring to wear. This top however, adds some flare to my outfit with the keyhole detail and the cut out shoulders. I just looooove the print on this Forever 21 skirt!
Silver Hoop Earrings
Since the skirt had tiny silver flowers I wore my large silver hoop earrings to stay consistent. Do you like to mix and match with silver or do you not have a preference?
Of course, this was a good chance to wear my glittery silver booties that Cindy got me last Christmas. For the top, I went with this soft balloon sleeved sweater from Forever 21. I ended up choosing this sweater because it was super simple and wouldn’t take away any attention from the skirt. I have also really been LOVING balloon sleeves as much as I love bell sleeves, haha!
Velvet Glitter Heels
Chloe had her glitter boots and I had my glitter heels! I’ve been loving this chunky heel trend and having them in glitter is such a bonus! Of course, we wanted to wear very similar styles but with our own personal twists. We enjoyed making our own outfits with this skirt. As you can see with the opposite colored tops and our handbags, but we look like a set, haha! Both of us opted for a cute and fuzzy handbag along with some glittery statement shoes to really let this look stand out! Somehow, we still choose pieces that match each other!
