Awakening of a Springtime Ballerina

If you’re interested in trying out something cute and girly this week, then you’ve come to the right place.  It has been a long time since I’ve worn anything really girly.  Lately, I’ve been sticking with grungy looks and darker colors since it was Winter. Now that Spring is finally coming along it’s time to throw in some cute pastel colors to liven up my wardrobe because pastels are just the epitome of Spring. When I think of Spring I think of hearts, floral prints, and everything that is cute and fuzzy. So, for this week’s look, I was thinking along the lines of a sweet ballerina doll because I recently talked to my cousins and remembered how fun it was when we messed around in our ballet class.

This light purple top from Forever 21 really reminds me of the wrap tops that ballerinas always wear. Since the chest area for this wrap crop top hangs so low, and if you are part of the itty bitty titty committee like I am, then you should add in a bralette to make this top less revealing.  I decided on this lace cutout bralette from Forever 21 because revealing too much takes away the mystery and leaves little room for imagination 😉 And we all know that no imagination = no fun. Personally, I think the little sneak peak of the bralette is cute and sexy, especially with the cutouts. Cutouts, whether it be on tops, dresses, or shoes have been a growing trend because it adds edginess to an outfit.

This pastel pink velvet skirt with a baroque imprint is also from Forever 21. I paired it with this skirt since it was another really cute shade and completes that ballerina look.

Since the 90s are coming back this upcoming season, I’ve been stocking up on as many chokers as I can. This was a really fun way to add something grungy to my outfit, but still have that cutesy vibe with this little dainty heart choker from Forever 21.

Lastly, I went with my suede lace-up sandals from Missguided. Since they are nude I can pair these sandals with basically any outfit. What really made me love these sandals were the lace-up details and they’re super comfortable because of the chunky heel. I have been seeing this lace-up trend all over, whether it be on high heels or on chunky heels like mines.

Thanks! I would definitely wear them with jeans and a plain tee for those lazy days. I think it would be really cute to wear these with any sundress too. Hope this helps. Definitely going to be wearing these shoes again in another post.
