Anniversary – Fun In The Closet Turns 1!

Today marks the day that Fun In The Closet turns 1! ๐Ÿ™‚ Yay! We’ve made it through a whole year of blogging! Honestly in the beginning we just started this blog for fun because both of us really love fashion. We didn’t know what would become our blog now in one year. Both of us are really excited that we have made it this far and can’t wait to see what the future will have in store for us. In celebration, we kicked things off with some good ole’ best fran fashun Fun In The Closet style, haha! This means we’re all matchy-matchy in some sort of way, but with our own quirks. We decided to do a similar look completed with bell sleeves and fluffy heels!

Those of you who have a sharp eye and good memory will recognize this dress. I wore it in one of our first blog posts wayyyy back. That look was more darker since I wore tights, black boots, and a dark silver statement necklace. The look today is more girly with my fluffy pink heels. I’ve always wanted fluffy heels and Chloe presented me with these for Christmas!<3

Usually I would wear a large statement necklace with this kind of neckline since it is so plain with all the blackness. But I decided to use a cute belt lined with hearts to bring a shape into the dress and give it a feminine curve. I ended it with that as my last accessory because I thought that was enough since my dress has large bell sleeves and tassels on the trim.

Bell sleeves and fluffy heels are currently such a huge trendย and definitely the top of my list on my favorites. This lacy bell-sleeve top ย from Forever 21 is actually a tunic but I decided to tuck it into my pink mini corduroy skirt for a more romantic and feminine feel. I love doing this with many of my tunic blouses because it’s so simple to create a whole new look. Another look I could totally do with this tunic is pair it with jeans and leggings and switch the heels out for flats for a simple every day look.

I decided not to accessorize since the sleeves were so full and flared. Plus, the fluffy heels are already such statement pieces. I think if I wore too much, this look would be an overkill. Sometimes simplicity is the way to go.
